Customizer not working when plugin activated

      Hi, I’m creating a website using Epik and thought I was going crazy when I couldn’t find a way to upload an header image, in the genesis settings, there was no place to select image as usual, so I clicked on Header and it took me to the customizer but there were no sections there, only the top saying your are customizing, nothing else.

      Anyway, finally deactivated the only plugin I had (will add more soon) and the customizer was now working. So I added my header image and published. Then went back and activated my plugin again.

      The plugin is one I bought called WP Subscribe Pro.

      Is there a way to fix this, other than what I did? And I worried other plugins might also affect the customizer.

        UPDATE: I just added 2 more plugins and everything is fine with these, so only the WP Subscribe Pro is affecting the customizer.

        Should I contact the plugin support or is it the Epik theme that doesn’t play well with that plugin?

          That’s strange that the plugin would affect the customizer, not sure why that would be unless they have code that directly affects it.

          The Epik theme itself doesn’t have code or anything inside of the theme that affects the customizer so we can definitely rule that out as being related to the issue….(especially since it works fine by default).

          So yes I would definitely contact the plugin developer if you plan to use that particular plugin. Hopefully they’ll have an idea as to what the issue could be.

          Also, make sure and let them know you’re using the Genesis Framework as the Parent theme. Genesis does most of the work behind the scenes, and of course Epik is the child theme which handles the design, but not necessarily all of the functionality…..So the issue could be between the Plugin, Genesis, or WordPress….or the combination of them all together
