It should work fine with the latest version. Where does it say it’s not compatible?
I’ve made some updates to the theme as you can see here in the latest version of the Demo – http://demo.appfinite.net/epik But I also added the older version on a subdomain here – http://demo.appfinite.net/test and it’s working fine with the latest version of WordPress.
Do you have any plugins or anything that may cause the incompatible error you’re seeing show up? I see you’re using a minify plugin, and I’m not sure if something like that is what’s causing it or not, but I’d look into your other plugins just in case.
