How to add H1 to homepage

Hello

I’ve seen some posts on this but nothing that solves my problem. I cannot figure out how to put an h1 tag on my homepage for the epik theme. I’ve seen talk about using the site title, but that isn’t working. Is this a limitation of the theme?

Thanks in advance, I really need to figure this out. I wanted to use h2 tags for my welcome widgets which I thought would be the titles, but aren’t.

Sorry for delay in reply.

I’m trying to add it to my homepage anywhere honestly. But I was trying to put it where it says: “It’s Time to Breathe Life into Your SEO and Online Marketing”. It’s the welcome wide widget Title, but doesn’t hold the h1 tags. When I try to do it in the Content area of the widget it won’t appear because the text is black. Should I just change the css for the text color for the widget only? I don’t want it changed for other h1’s.

Oh, you’re using a text so you can just manually add it in –

<h1 style="color: #fff;font-weight: 300;">It’s Time to Breathe Life into Your SEO and Online Marketing</h1>

I added some inline code to make it show up as white. You can change that if you want.

Also, HTML won’t work in the Title section of the Text widget, so you have to add this inside the Content box of the Text widget.
