Super excited about Google fonts – I saw Wes’ reference to the tutorials, I did that.
      Here’s what I don’t get:

“Instructions: To embed your Collection into your web page, copy the code as the first element in the <head> of your HTML document.”
and that refers to this: “@import url(http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Droid+Serif:400,700);”

What’s the HTML document – a file, something new I create?
It looks like the top of the CSS, but I don’t think that’s right….

This I get “font-family: ‘Droid Serif’, serif;”

Have you seen this tutorial? – http://my.studiopress.com/tutorials/load-google-fonts/

You can actually do it using the css file or the functions file….either way works perfectly fine.

HI – I see, it goes in the functions.php file for best results.
I found a plug – in and am using Easy Google Fonts- it gives me a live preview of the changes….so I can try a few… I know having a bunch of fonts can slow the system load time. I don’t know if it uninstalls the font every time I choose a new one. I guess I’ll check out the functions.php
page to see if they are there.
