I have a fresh install of Legacy 1.3 and would like to know how to implement what has been referred to as “Slider Wide” functionality. I read some of the posts in the older threads but don’t see a step by step how to configure “slider wide’ from a fresh install. Any support would be greatly appreciated.

      Thanks
      Dan

You don’t see a “Slider Wide” widget on your widgets page? Do you have the latest version?

Where did you download the latest version from? Here or StudioPress?

          HI Wes,

Legacy version 1.3 and do not se the slider wide widget. Are there different build versions? I have version 1.3 from the initial release.

Did you download from this site or from StudioPress? I’m trying to figure out if the version on StudioPress needs to be updated.

Wait, I just realized there is no Slider Wide widget in Legacy. Those posts were probably referring to other themes like “Epik” that use that.

So you would have to manually add it in. You could just copy the slider widget area and rename it to Slider Wide in the home.php, functions.php, and style.css files.

Yes you would copy the slider widget code and rename it to slider wide. This should be done in the home.php (anywhere you see “slider”). This should also be done to the functions.php file and style.css.

Although, it would be easier to just use the slider widget that is already there instead of creating another one. Just change the width to the slider from 1140px to 100% and that should be it.
