Hi, I tried to change the colors in style.css but I for some reason the colors in the live version are never changing; however in styles.css code the changes are shown, they had been properly saved. Then I was searching here the Threads and found where Wes said this can happen if one uses a Caching-Plugin. So, I uninstalled W3 Total Cache, cleaned all remaining files on my server [there are a plethora of tutorials out there] and even so, my website isn’t updating anymore. Anybody out there who can help?
Do you have a link so I can check it out?

Hi Eric, sorry for my late reply. Sure, here you go: http://wmss-teak.com/
Is it still not working? I’m sure I could figure it out. Can you create a login for me (a temporary login) so I can check it out?

I can see your css edits. It looks like you changed some colors to Green right?

Yes first changed them from black to green and all worked good, then I installed this horrible caching-plugin and since I did this I wasn’t able to change the colors again. I uninstalled this plugin, rolled back the DB to a pre-installation state – nothing helped, my site remains green.
Can you create a temporary login for me? I can login and see what’s going on.

Hi, Eric, sure I could do this, but I cannot post the credentials here….
You can add it here just make sure and check the box that says “Set as private reply“. No one else on the forum will be able to see it…..and then once we get it fixed we can request to remove the post (even though no one will see it). Just make sure and create a temporary username instead of your main username.

I have found now – by a lucky coincidence – that this problem seemed to be browser related. Yesterday night I was working in a different computer which only had IE and Firefox; I used Firefox. I changed on all Sub-domains successfully the colors and just for fun tried it on the main-domain as well and voila it worked suddenly. So, I don’t know how different from other Browsers Chrome is doing the caching, I repeated the experiment today and still working on Firefox and IE – except if I use Chrome I can’t change colors. I emptied the Chromes cache and nothing, I un-, and then re-installed, now I can change colors even when I’m using Chrome. Very strange!
Anyway, many thanks for offering me hands-on help; this is awesome, not a lot of people are doing this nowadays. 🙂
You’re Welcome 🙂
