      Hi

I am using Epik 1.4.1 and in Google Mobile Friendly Test it is saying its not friendly.

      https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/mobile-friendly/?url=www.malleeblue.com

It is also not showing up as Mobile Friednly on Smart phones.

Any Suggestions? Google implies that a responsive site would be mobile friendly and on Studio Press Epik is listed as Mobile Friendly.

Google may say it’s not mobile friendly, but it’s working perfectly fine on my mobile devices. There could be an error on Google’s part.

It’s funny, I just saw another person the other day mentioning that this theme passed their Mobile tests.

Honestly I wouldn’t be concerned about it, as this theme works fine on nearly all mobile devices when you actually look at it from a phone or tablet itself.

Hi Kronos. The site test failed on viewport and links too close together. I installed Jetpack mobile friendly and that did the trick. If you go to my site using a google search you will notice that it lacks the “Mobile Friendly site” comment that Google places in the search results….

Unfortunately it’s kind of difficult to figure out how to get it to pass a test on those type of sites unless they have a guide that lets you know exactly what it takes to pass. It’s sort of like Mobile Browsers. Most mobile browsers don’t have that much documentation/guidelines on what it takes to build a site that works perfectly in their particular browser and phone/device.

Every device that I’ve used and tested the theme on has always worked with no issues. My point was, if a tester/site says a site is broken, but there are no signs of a broken site (by scanning the code, and viewing on nearly every type of mobile device) then I know not to put 100% trust into a site like that, regardless who it is. Like I said, if they had a guide that shows exactly what it takes to validate a site, or what the standards are, then that would help developers get going in the right direction. There just aren’t that many out there. Most Mobile Device standards are usually found by accident, or in a developer forum somewhere…….It’s not really laid out and simple to read.

I checked the theme that you’re using and the theme itself seemed to pass with no issues – https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/mobile-friendly/?url=http://demo.appfinite.net/epik …….The fact that you’re using that same theme, and your site isn’t passing lets me know that either you added an error/typo somewhere in your code, or the plugins that you’ve added aren’t working properly and may be causing some errors…..or the test itself is not 100% accurate. Who knows? lol

Anyways, if you don’t figure it out, I wouldn’t worry, your site/design looks good on every device I’ve checked. Keep up the good work 馃檪

Thanks for the good advice, Kronos. Google plans to impliment a ranknig factor for Mobile Friendly Devices in April – so, even though my site might look dandy on a smartphone, if Google thinks it doesnt, it will rank the site lower.

The issue is probably css code I have edited or addiotns to the themes functions.php file.

              Thanks again, Kronos.
