On the Ally theme, how would you go about introducing the mobile menu symbol, the small horizontal lines, rather than the full text version of the menu? Is this a big job?

Nope, this should be easy (depending on your CSS/PHP or Copy/Paste skills) – http://ozzyrodriguez.com/tutorials/genesis/genesis-responsive-menu-2-0/

Thats the link that has helped quite a few people asking a similar question in the Genesis Community, both on this site, as well as StudioPress. It definitely works, so give it a try and see if that helps.

I tried the one above from ozzyrodriguez.com, but for the life of me could not get it to work on a “Genesis Sample” theme (which is a bare bones theme).

          Try this one: http://wpbeaches.com/using-slick-responsive-menus-genesis-child-theme/

It actually walked me thru the steps a bit cleaner. When I tried a few others I found, it wasn’t clear about where to place the files in my directory. The “slick” works beautifully.

I love Genesis. There is so much out there, and great themes (like my Epik).

@Andykev thanks for the link, I have it bookmarked! Next time I have a project that needs something like this I’ll check it out and see how it works.

, give Andys link a try if you can and let us know how everything works.
