Looks like the primary navbar is the one under the slider and the secondary navbar is at the top of the page. Is there any way I can switch those? I have customized secondary navbars set up for various categories and would like them to show more prominently under the slider. Thanks!

You can switch it in your menu settings under – “Theme Locations”

Doesn’t do what I need, though. The custom menus will only show in secondary navbar, which in Optimal always shows at the very top. Primary is always the same navbar for every page. So I’d need to have the custom (secondary navbar) down below instead of the primary. Is that possible to reposition?

Forgot to say I’m using the Genesis Simple Menus plugin to create the custom navbars for different pages/posts. This only works for the secondary nabar, though.

I’m not familiar with that plugin, I just use the regular WordPress default menu system.

If you create menus with the default WordPress menu system you can create multiple menus like Primary, Secondary….or whatever you want to label them.  Then under theme location you can switch where each menu shows up.  For example, I can switch the menu I have “labeled” as “Primary” to show up in the actual Secondary location of the Optimal theme (at the top) and then have the menu “labeled” “Secondary” show up in the Primary Navigation area of the theme (under the logo).

If you need to use this particular plugin to create your menu, then it would be best to contact the plugin developer or their forums for the solution to this.

Thank you for taking the time to field all my questions. Unfortunately the plugin is only set up to add choices to the secondary menu. I’ll keep working on it and see if I can get it sorted out.
