Customize the Entry Header

Unless otherwise indicated, the code snippets you see below should be placed into your theme’s functions.php file.

You can use the following code snippet to modify the Entry Header content in Genesis HTML5 (recent) themes:

Notes:

Starting with Genesis v3.2, this code snippet is unnecessary. You can now edit the entry header text via Appearance > Customize > Theme Settings > Singular Content.

Here’s the code to customize the entry meta for Genesis HTML5 themes on websites running an older version of Genesis:

<?php
//* Do NOT include the opening php tag shown above. Copy the code shown below.

//* Customize the entry meta in the entry header (requires HTML5 theme support)
add_filter( 'genesis_post_info', 'sp_post_info_filter' );
function sp_post_info_filter($post_info) {
	$post_info = '[post_date] by [post_author_posts_link] [post_comments] [post_edit]';
	return $post_info;
}
