@sportydave, if you want to use the homepage widgets on another page (and not the homepage) then you’ll actually need to turn your home.php file into a Page Template first. Right now it’s only designed to show on the homepage, but you can turn it into a Page Template by adding this to your home.php file (right after the first <?php) –

// Template Name: Home

Adding that will allow you to create a Page and select this template from the Template dropdown on the right of the Page editor. Once you add content inside of the home widgets they will show up on that page.
