Ah, my mistake, I forgot that regular users/customers won’t be able to see the open/closed link on threads…only the moderators will be able to see it. One way you can check is if the form to reply is disabled. Or if the link to the thread itself is a darker color. If it’s a dark gray, that means it’s closed, if it’s still blue then that means it’s still open. The link colors can only be soon from the forum page that shows all posts (but not the post itself). I hope I didn’t make that sound confusing, that’s just the way bbPress works (the plugin that appfinite uses for their forums).
