“what menus did you use to create the two menus in the demo, and how are they positioned? I just want my site and it’s structure to look like the demo.”

There is only one menu in the demo (at the top), and that was created by adding a “Custom Menu” widget to the “Header Right” widget area. Of course you’ll need to create a custom menu on your Menus page (Appearance > Menus) first before you use the custom menu widget.
