I’m not sure why that’s happening, I’ve never ran into an issue like that. It seems to work fine on the demo, as well as some of my local installs. I’m using the “Day and Name” settings – /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/ Not sure if that has anything to do with it or not.

Maybe try changing the settings around to see if it works?

I’d also check to see if you have any conflicting plugins, by temporary uninstalling them to see if any changes are made.
