The Read Me doesn’t work for me either, even when using an SP theme. So I guess they either removed the function to view from the WP admin, or there is a bug. We’ll see.
When I get done with the theme, you should be able to just swap it out and everything will stay in place (widget content). There are a few design changes that were made, but if you want to add any of them back through css it shouldn’t be an issue.
