No there aren’t any issues with it, you’re supposed to import it (using the WP importer). Keep in mind, an xml file will only load some demo content such as Pages, Posts, etc. It does not contain the widget code so you would have to manually add that code. This goes for any WordPress theme. XML doesn’t transfer widget content, you have to manually do it.
