Take a look here for getting the slider setup – https://appfinite.com/tutorials/how-to-add-the-genesis-responsive-slider/ this is from the tutorials in the menu above. Since you are using a theme that is 1152px, you’ll probably want to set that as the width.

Once you add posts, or pages (whichever you decide in the slider settings) you would then need to add a featured image to that post or page. After that, just add the ID from that post or page to your slider settings.

You’ll also want to download and run the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin if the images need to be adjusted to fit the slider better.
