I just did a google search and came across a couple tutorials –

http://www.briangardner.com/email-newsletter-signup-box/ – You can use this tutorial (which is for a newsletter) and just add the social icons widget instead. It all works the same.

http://softstribe.com/wordpress/how-to-add-social-sharing-buttons-below-post-info-in-genesis – manual way of doing it without plugin.

There are a bunch of tutorials that are already covering this, I would just search for those if the above links aren’t good enough.
