How can I remove the ‘read more’ link and replace it with date, comments (or author) as in the following:

I’m not sure if this will help or not, but you could take a look at something like this – http://my.studiopress.com/snippets/post-info/ or http://my.studiopress.com/snippets/post-meta/ which shows you how to add authors, comments, etc.
I added these into my custom functions file. Nothing at all seemed to happen.
Wondering if there is anything more specific you could think of?
I’m not sure how to replace the “Read More” with other functions of the site…..but I guess you could remove the Read More and then add the post info or post meta to show up at the bottom customized using the shortcodes that Genesis provides in the links above. I can’t seem to think of a proper way to do it.
