I’ve noticed in the Demo that as you narrow the width of the browser window, the image and content inside the slider automatically scales down. Another problem I’m having with the image size inside the slider not working right, is that my images never scale like that. Was that done with a special JS trick (IOW something not possible with a standard image-in-a-post or image-in-a-page in WordPress)?

Not sure if this could be related to the earlier problem I found where the slider always displays the native import size of the image, not the size found in the post or page… but it might be? Before I send this to StudioPress though I want to make sure the demo slider images are not in a special folder or using some kind of funky JS trick to scale in real time.

No the slider should be responsive by default, there aren’t any custom scripts or anything needed. Make sure you are using the Genesis Responsive Slider and not the regular Genesis Slider (which isn’t responsive).

Thanks Eric. I figured out the problem. I wasn’t using the Featured Image but instead having the Slider pull the first inline image from the post (like a lot of social media do), which totally screws up the sizing and scaling trick. Apparently the slider doesn’t know what to do with inline images, which makes sense. I guess most people will purpose-render the slider images so that’s the fix there.
