Hi Wes
So this is a strange one… when users enter https://edappsconsultant.com on both iphone and android, my site shows up without the home page and a generic wordpress theme shows other links to my page in it’s place. Clear history and then type in edappsconsultant.com without the https and *wallah, normal website as hoped for. What is going on… do you think it is something I’ve done??
Any suggestions would be very helpful.
Kind regards
Rosanne
I’m not exactly sure what that could be, but I do know the Aspire theme itself wouldn’t cause that to happen. It’s definitely something external causing this.
If I had to guess, the only thing I can of is maybe you have a Plugin active that displays a Mobile Version of your site when viewed on mobile devices? If that’s the case, then it could be set to display this version when viewing through https.
Other than that I’m not sure what it could be since it’s never happened on my end. Maybe try reaching out to your hosting company to see if a source pops up for them?
Let me know if any of that helps or if you find out what was causing it to happen.
Hi Wes,
Well I thought Jetpack was the culprit there based on your plungin suggestion. I have turned off the ‘enable Jetpack mobile theme’. The problem still persists, however. I still blame Jetpack haha. Perhaps it needs time… or? There doesn’t seem to be any other plugins that have this kind of option. If anything else comes to mind, please do let me know.
Kind regards,
Rosanne
It looks like you got it fixed. I was wondering if it had something to do with Jetpack. If the only thing you did was turn off the Jetpack mobile feature, then that has to be what the issue was.
It’s working on my phone now.
