      I’ve selected the content | primary sidebar layout but not seeing the sidebar on the homepage. Also have WP Reading settings to display latest posts on homepage and also not seeing those. I removed the slider widget, not sure if this theme requires the slider on the homepage, but have elected not to have one.

      I had a separate Blog page to display posts, but that doesn’t display posts on this theme, so removed it. Also disabled all plugins as a test, but still no sidebar or latest posts on homepage.

        Hi, do you have a link to your site?

        Also, here is a link to their tutorial on how the Homepage/Blog templates work – https://appfinite.com/tutorials/how-to-setup-the-home-and-blog-page/ (can be found in the Tutorials link)

        Basically, the homepage template will only activate once you add a widget inside any of the home widget locations. If you don’t want to use the homepage template (like the demo) then you would need to leave those widget locations blank. Once you do this, the Blog shows up on the homepage by default.

          Thanks, scooby. I managed to get the latest posts to show after digging around the forum yesterday. I was able to get the latest posts to show when I create a “Blog” page using the blog template and then setting it as the static home page. This doesn’t appear to be the recommended way, but it’s the only thing that has worked for me so far. It seems backwards from what I’m used to with using WP all these years.

            Changed things back to not using the Blog page as a static page on my homepage, but back to the same problem with no recent posts or sidebars showing. I didn’t want to use a separate blog page since the title tag is showing the name of the Blog page on the HP. I’ll dig around in the home_page.php code to see if I can tell what’s going on, but any more suggestions on getting this to work would be greatly appreciated. Didn’t think something this basic would be this difficult.

              OK, get it resolved. I had a look in home.php and saw that the WP loop is removed if any of the home page widgets are active. I was sure that I wasn’t using any of them, but placed a print call to make sure. The test indicated that indeed one or more were active. Somehow, perhaps leftover from playing with the Genesis framework, a text widget was active for the Home 3 widget. Removed that and now posts and sidebar are appearing.
