I have a couple of questions regarding my news page on my website – which i am using the blog template for.

      1) How can i have an image going across the width of the page for the ‘News’ homepage? Then the latest posts will be displayed underneath?

      2) how can i have an image appearing on each post (news story) ? The featured image i have assigned for each post isnt appearing on each post on the news page.

      Website is http://www.residencyinvest.com

By default, featured images only show up on Blog pages, but not the actual posts themselves. That’s how most WordPress and Genesis themes are setup by default. However, you can have them show up by adding some code. Have a look at this link – http://www.wpstuffs.com/insert-featured-image-above-posts/ and see if that helps.

          Hi Eric,

          Thanks for providing this.

I want the images below the post title not above it.

Will you please provide some assistance with that?

          Thank you!

I also forgot to mention that when I manually add the image to my post, it shows up twice because of the image feature option?

Is this normal or a theme issue?

            Thank you!

Use the code from the above link, but change ‘genesis_before_entry’ to ‘genesis_entry_content’

That will put the image after the headline and before the main content of your post. And won’t have to manually add the image to your post content.

You will need to adjust CSS to fix the spacing, but it looks okay if you don’t.
