      Hello everyone. I love this theme and can see building a beautiful site using it. Unfortunately, I am having some issues getting started. I am new to Genesis and am also new to widget style themes.

      What I would like to do is set up a homepage using the widgets and then have a blog area for the content that I add.

      Do I need to establish a static page on my site as the homepage? I read in the tutorial that this is not necessary since the theme will automatically use home.php and after adding content to the widgets this content on the widgets will be displayed and then underneath will be the standard blog posts. Is this correct? I have already added some content in a few of the widgets but they do not appear anywhere on my site.

        Do you have a link to your site? I’m guessing you’ve already seen this tutorial, right? – https://appfinite.com/tutorials/how-to-setup-the-home-and-blog-page/ That should explain how to set it up. If you have seen it, and it’s still not working right just let me know and I can help you get it working.

        Also, if you want to create a temporary password, I can login and get it setup for you in less than a sec. Just add it here using the Private Reply option if you’re interested. Otherwise the above tutorial should explain everything. Just let me know if you have any issues.

          Hello Eric. I read that tutorial which is what is confusing me. According to that tutorial I need to do nothing in order for the widgets to appear above the rest of the posts.

              Ok I see that it is another one of your sites. It seems to be working fine on the other site. You should be able to do the exact same thing on your other site if you need. Are you still having issues with the other site?
