Hi – got one more EPIK question to ask. How do i control or limit the content presented on the portfolio layout for the Epik theme? All i want to show is featured image and post title – right now, in the preview on the portfolio page, its showing the actual galleries that are on the posts themselves. So it shows the featured image and the tiled gallery for each of the items – its weird.

To see what i mean you can look at http://woodruff.masterswitch.net/residential/

Remember it is a work site and i am working on it so it might change – so i will include a link to a screen shot of this weirdness…

    Thanks, Clay

If you remember how you did it let me know.

There’s a couple ways I’ve done it, but it’s not the best way.

The first is to change the Portfolio Content limit in the Portfolio Settings to 0. Problem with that is it still shows 1 or 2 characters at the beginning of the content. This way used to work but there was a Genesis Update in the past that caused the 2 character issue to happen.

The 2nd way is to hide the content from showing by using display: none to the paragraph tag. This would only work if you’re just using the Thumbnails and Titles only. There is an option to add a Title and Content right on top of the Portfolio posts, but if you add the display: none; to the content tags, it will affect that section of content as well.

The better way is to adjust the code in the page_portfolio.php file to properly have the Thumbnail and Title show without the Content. I’m sure it’s an easy fix, I just haven’t had the time to figure out how to do it just yet.

Let me know if you figure out what you did to fix it.
