Create top bar widget

Hello,
I would like to include a top bar widget in the adapt theme. Something similar to the one on the AgentPress theme. Just instead of a menu I would like to have that area html editable for text or small icons. How would I do that exactly?

You would basically just need to create a widget area, then use the “text” widget to add in your html.
