I want to customise my blog page to show each blog with an image, a short excerpt and read more link. I can get this look on the front page but when I click on the ‘More Posts’ button on the front page I get sent to a blog page with the entire content of each blog. Please help!

Go to your WP Dashboard —> Genesis —> Theme Settings then scroll down to Content Archives and for “Display”, choose Entry Excerpts.
I hope that helps.November 16, 2016 at 5:52 am #19982
Thank you! That worked! How do I set the ‘Read More …’ link after the paragraph? Also when the blog is displayed in it’s full page my sidebar begins at the bottom of the blog post. How can I display it parallel to the blog post?

@bloomrocks If you want the Read More link to show up after the content, try setting the Display to Entry Content and then add a Content Limit (start at 500 to see how it looks). Once you do that, then it will automatically show the Read More link right after the content on all your posts.
Can you post the link to your site so I can see the sidebar issue?November 18, 2016 at 6:31 am #19998
Here is a link to the site : http://kholzapfel.staging.wpengine.com/
Thanks that worked.
What I want the blog page to show is:
At the moment it is showing as:
Also I selected ‘Include the featured image’ in the theme settings and I now have a huge image showing at the top of each blog post. What I really want it just a small image on the top left and the blog to begin on the right of the image. Any ideas why this is not working?

@bloomrocks I can help you get this fixed.
Is there a login we need in order to visit the site? It’s saying “Authentication Required” so I’m guessing you have it in Maintenance Mode?November 19, 2016 at 8:37 pm #20007This reply has been marked as private.November 21, 2016 at 12:41 pm #20021This reply has been marked as private.November 21, 2016 at 1:18 pm #20022
It appears to be something to do with the Comment Section on your Single Post pages. When I disable the comments the sidebar shows up, but when I enable them again the sidebar ends up at the bottom again. This doesn’t happen on the demo or any of the other sites I’ve used the Aspire Theme with.
Have you added any customizations, code, plugins or anything that modifies the theme or comments in any way?
