    Hi

I wonder if you can get different portfolios to different pages. I have event company where I want to add different portfolios in different seasons. http://www.nybrovikencharter.com.

Here is a short tutorial on how to create multiple portfolios – http://appfinite.com/tutorials/how-to-create-multiple-portfolios/

That link is from the Tutorials section that I’m building.  I’ll have more added soon.

    Hi

thanks for the quick reply, unfortunately, I have a little hard to figure out where I create the custom field

“Then create a custom field and enter query_args in the name field, and cat=1 (for example) in the value field.”

hi Now I found the function in the panel settings. Unfortunately, I get it not to work. All posts are in the same category, even though I did as you wrote.

Did you add the correct category ID?

.Hi I have tried several different options. Also did the cat = 1 and named a category 1. I check category 1 of the the post and it does not work.

Is category ID  the same as the category name?

The Category NAME and Category ID are two different things.  From what it sounds like, you are trying to add a category name and entering in a category ID that doesn’t exist.

The easiest way to find your category ID is to go to Posts > Categories …..then click on one of the categories.  Once the link takes you to the edit screen of the category you have chosen, take a look at the url and the ID is located near the end.  For example http://example.com/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?action=edit&taxonomy=category&tag_ID=3&post_type=post  – in this link the ID is 3  …..(ID=3)  So if we were using this category, we would place “3” in the custom field.
