I’m using the new version of Epik.

Looking in the Customizer, I see the setting for Front Page Background Image.

I’ve set all the Featured Sections to an image but I don’t see it displaying anywhere on the home page.

How are these supposed to work? Or do they not in Epik?

      Thanks!

I think I see it now. Looks like there are background colors set overlaying them but they’re there?

Yep you should be able to add background images in some of the sections. If you add one in a particular section and the background color shows up on top then I can help get that fixed by overriding/commenting it out.

            Wes,

I have an image in Featured Section 3 Image.

When I inspect the page, it looks like it’s showing in .front-page-2.

I am hiding the background in inspector but there is still color over the background.

Can you give some indication of what I need to do to remove the background color to allow the image to show through? I do see the background-image: url property with the image in inspector btw.

            Thanks!

Sure, what’s the link to your site again?

                      Thanks, Wes.

You rule. And I had accidentally removed the FPB 2 image instead of FPB 3.

Removing “.front-page-2 .image-section,” from the output.php was exactly it.

                      Appreciate it!

                        Wes,

I’ve got the background images showing on alternate places.

                        Labled:
                        Featured Section 3 Image
                        Featured Section 5 Image
                        Featured Section 7 Image

I cannot get the alternate ones to display. Have been inspecting the CSS for 2, 4, 6 & have eliminated some of the background color but still not showing.

                        Image not showing for:
                        Featured Section 2 Image
                        Featured Section 4 Image
                        Featured Section 6 Image

Can you help with this too?

                        Thank you!

Ah, you know what, I think I’m going to redevelop the code for the front page. I took a look at the Default Theme code and realized when I designed this theme a few years ago, it was meant to have background image options available only for the Gray & Dark Gray backgrounds. That meant the white background sections were intended to stay the same unless manually changed in the CSS.

Right now the way the code is added it can look confusing unless you have the Epik demo side by side with the front-page.php code. That’s too difficult, so I’ll make sure to get that changed so its much easier to deal with.

I can redevelop the code for the front page and output file so you’ll be able to upload a background image for all of those sections instead of just being limited to the Gray areas. I’ll need some time to get to it though since I have a list of other them updates I’m working on at the moment. It shouldn’t take longer than a day to get it re-coded, tested and uploaded for download.

Hey, just checking in to see if you received an email?

I sent a version that I wanted you to test before I release it as the final update. Let me know if you got it.

Hello, I’m stuck in the same place as the original poster of this thread. Is there an updated front-page.php file that will render the feature section images in parallax format provided in the WordPress Customizer?

                              Thank you.
