    Hi Wes,

I just installed the Epik Theme on one of my blogs. It’s in Portuguese and it’s using the Genesis Translate plugin (not sure if that’s a factor or not).

The standard layout is not responding (config: content – sidebar. showing up: sidebar – content)

Changing theme color changes absolutely nothing.

What’s going on and how can I make it work?

I’ve never seen that happen. Do you have a link I can take a look at?

Do you have the Genesis Theme Settings page set to anything?

Also, are you using any other plugins? If so, try temporarily disabling some of them to see if anything is conflicting with it.

    Wes,

I tried disabling all plugins and it still doesn’t work.

    The link is: http://martinmessier.com.br

Do you have a private email I could send admin credentials to so you can check it out?

Yes you can send it to the Contact Form – http://appfinite.com/contact-us or you can add it here in the forums, but make sure to check the Private Reply option.

Everything is working fine for me. What layout are you trying to use?

You change the layout from either the Genesis Theme Settings page or the Post or Page itself near the bottom (you may already know this).

I changed the default layout in the Genesis Theme settings and it worked fine, and I also changed one of your Pages layout and it worked as well (I changed it back to how you originally had it setup)

Have you tried it in another browser? i had the same problem in Chrome and then realized it was something with the cookies, so i started to use Firefox, that i usually dont use, just to delete cookies and preview every time i make a change, althought, find a solution to use it without have to delete cookies all the time would save a little of time..

    Hi guys,

Thanks for the feedback. I switched to Firefox, cleared all the cookies and for the life of me can’t make it work. I’ve got the theme set on green and am seeing everything gray.

The layout I set up is content-sidebar. Everything is showing up as sidebar-content.

What else could I try to change/clear to figure it out? I’m using Epik on another site and it works fabulously well.

What page is showing up as sidebar-content? Every page I clicked shows the opposite. They show up as content on the left and sidebar on the right. Everytime I changed the layout, it would adjust like normal.

    You’ve got to be kidding!

Are there settings on my browsers that could be screwing things up?

Clearing your browser cache should instantly show changes that you’ve made to your site…..but I didn’t have to clear my cache. Every time I made a change it showed up instantly.

If your site is still showing the sidebar on the left, then try viewing your site from a proxy and see if it shows something different.

Take a look at the stylesheet.

When I look at the site, it’s giving me that .content floats right. The sidebar also floats right, but the content is taking priority.

Something else is kind of weird, which may or may not have anything to do with the problem.

In the Admin panel of WordPress, the submenus that usually show up when I mouseover the main menu item aren’t showing up.

Can you take a look if the same thing happens in your browser?

I just looked at your site and it’s showing up with the default layout on my end – Content on the Left and Sidebar on the right.
