I have looked all over for tips on the slider in the legacy theme however I cannot manage to get it to show up. Is there another trick to it that I haven’t found?

You can take a look at this tutorial if you haven’t already – https://appfinite.com/tutorials/how-to-add-the-genesis-responsive-slider/

Yes I have looked at that a few times and it doesn’t work. That is why I decided to ask the forum.

We would need a bit more information to be able to know what the issue is.  Can you provide the steps you’ve taken so far?

Is there any way to add images to the genesis responsive header without using pages or posts? Looking for an easy way to upload 6 images, but they will not be used on other pages or posts, thanks. If not is there another responsive slider that will work with the theme?

Currently the only way to add images is by uploading Featured Images to your pages and posts.  If you don’t want to do that, then maybe you could try a plugin called Meteor Slides – http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/meteor-slides/ ….I’m sure there are many more out there, you can search WordPress if you need more – http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=responsive+slider

I downloaded both the “slider” and the “responsive slider”  I read the how too’s and I added posts and selected the feature images and edited them to the correct size and used all the settings in the tutorial. Nothing. I only have one plugin active at a time but neither work.

I’m sure its something small that we’re missing. Do you have the Slider widget added to your Widget area? Did you add your Page or Post ID’s (whichever one you’re using) in the slider ID field?

I have it set up in the slider widget area, right now it’s the responsive slider set up. I am using posts with feature images with the category ‘slider’

If you can create a temporary user/password then I can login and take a quick look to see what the issue could be.

Everything is working fine, you just had your homepage setup wrong, so I fixed it.  If you go here – http://littledrawers.bitterrootunlimited.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php you would need to have it set to “You latest posts” since the home.php file will automatically be detected as the home page.  This is the template that has the “home” widgets.  You had the page set to “Welcome” which is why the widgets weren’t showing up.

You also didn’t set anything up in the Genesis Slider settings, so I added a couple ID’s (and a few other settings) as an example.
