Forum Request: Implement Search Bar

As a first-time theme user with lots of small random questions, I think it would really useful (and perhaps a time-saver for those offering support) to provide a simple search function. I’ve looked around a bit but I don’t see a search field anywhere in the forum. I want to make sure if a question has been asked that I can find it without scanning vague titles or going back 6 months by manually clicking thread pages. 🙂

Actually there is a Search field – https://appfinite.com/forums/

Its right under the large text that says “Search” near the top.  Can’t miss it 🙂

OK I see that one, but when I go here

(the place I go to read other threads and post them because it’s the only theme I own)

…there is no search AFAICT. What I see is “Home Themes Blog Tutorials Support Contact Us”

 

Possible to get it on theme pages? 🙂

bbpress doesn’t come with a Search function so Wes uses a plugin to handle this.  For now, to make a search you’ll have to go to the Forum home page……which can be done by simply clicking the “Support” link at the top.

Got it. Figured couldn’t hurt to ask. It’s great that you guys are so responsive to questions. I’ll give the off-page search a whirl.

I’ll be making it more accessible in the near future….it will look like this – http://www.studiopress.com/forums/  I just need to figure out the best way to do it with bbpress pages since they don’t show up like regular pages.
