      Hi Wes or other helpful forum members,
      I use the epic theme and would like to adjust my slider so that it uses the whole screen width – like this one. http://fabsfabian.com/
      I have input the standard 1140 width for the epic theme and using the genesis responsive slider. I went an tried to change the width in the css code under .slider.wrap from 1140 to 1920 but it didn’t do anything. Not sure what I am doing wrong?

      .slider .wrap {
      margin: 0 auto 20px;
      padding: 0;
      width: 1140px;

      my site in progress is annapurnamarketing.com.au

      Also I was wondering what the standard size is for the welcome image.
      Thanks in advance

        Hi, did you see the Full Width slider widget? I think it’s called “Slider Wide” in this particular theme, it should be located right on top of the regular slider on the widget page.

            @gcavey The Slider Wide widget area is already centered. It’s the Slider Plugin you are using that doesn’t center or align in the middle itself which is where a lot of people get confused. I haven’t seen a good way to make the plugin center, and that is due to the way its coded.

            The reason the slider “appears” centered inside of the regular “Slider” area is because the regular slider widget is 1140px wide and is always centered. The full width slider wide widget area is also centered, but it has no width. When you add something that doesn’t center inside of a full width area it will either left align or right align. The only thing you could try is adding a large width to the slider wide (or the regular slider widget) so the slider plugin will appear centered when viewed in a browser. The only other option is to try a different plugin that actually centers on its own.

              Thanks Kronos. I was using genesis responsive slider and Wes specifies to make the width 1140.I have tried using the slider wide and adjusting the width in both the slider settings and css – I changed it to 1500 but it still didn’t work. Is it something to do with the settings of the epic theme (ie it is set to 1140 wide? And if so can I change this? Thanks

                There should be a setting that allows you to set the slider as an unlimited/responsive width….which means it will adjust regardless of the size you set.

                If you can setup a separate temporary account I can check it out and see how ti get it set up.
