      I am trying to style text in the responsive slider and not sure how to do it. Any thoughts please.

        You’ll have to look at the code to see which particular part you want to customize (page source, or however you view your code).  Then add your customizations in your theme style.css file and make sure you add !important at the end of each rule so it overrides the plugin’s css.
