Give the navigation bar a different color than the header

Hi there,

On my wife’s request I’m trying to set up a blog site for her. She’s made a couple of requests for the design of her site. Some of them I managed to help her with, but this one I didn’t.

Is it possible to have a navigation menu right underneath the header with a different background color than the header? Also is it possible to have the area of the navigation menu underneath the header in a 100% width while the navigation menu itself is centered and stretched out over the width of the content?

The URL to the website is: http://www.aziemafatima.com and the site uses the Genesis framework and the Epik child theme.

The site you linked to isn’t an appfinite theme. StudioPress has a support forum for their themes here – http://www.studiopress.com/forums/ …you may already know this, but I’m just posting just in case.

To answer your question, Yes this can all be done on any Genesis theme, but you’ll need to be familiar with css and how to make customizations to it.

At the moment of your visit to to the website, I was experimenting with a different theme. But your answer is really helpful. I’m not that familiar with css but I’ve purchased the Genesis Extender Plugin and I trust that I’ll be able to make the customization with it.
