Hey Wes…loving the theme. But I hit a snag that I need some help with.

I followed the instructions and kept the Reading setting to Latest Posts for the home page. I then changed the Page Attribute>Template setting to Blog on one of my pages (let’s call it Bizivity Blog for sake of the example).

However, now when I go to the page Bizivity Blog it shows my blog posts only they don’t show the headlines and/or feature images. See this screenshot for an example:

If I then click on a category like Uncategorized, it shows the posts with headlines but no feature image. This might be on purpose, but I’m simply including the sample below to show what a normal blog page should look like in terms of showing the headlines.

I want my blog page to look like your demo. See this image

Do I have some setting messed up? Is there something wrong with my code? I’d be happy to let you get in there and look around if needed…just let me know and I’ll set you up with access.

Also, are there specific dimensions for the feature image on the epik theme?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, especially a prompt reply. I’m trying to launch my site ASAP and would love to get it looking looking like the demo in setup/structure.

      Thanks!

      -Matt

Okay, so I figured out the headline problem.

When I have the “title toggle” plugin activated to remove page title by default on “pages”, it seems to affect the headline showing on the blog page. Once I changed the setting under “Theme Settings” for Genesis (unchecked “By default, remove titles in the page post type.”) and the headlines to my blog posts now show up on the blog page.

Still having trouble with the feature image showing up.

I found the image sizes in the functions.php file and have saved an image to exactly those specs. Uploaded it to the post under the “Featured Image” section and saved it.

But alas, still now feature image showing up.

Do I need to change the “Media” settings somehow to reflect the functions.php image sizes?

        Thanks!

To get the featured images to show, all you have to do is check the box in your Genesis Theme Settings page labeled – Include the Featured Image? under Content Archives. Give that a try and let me know if it shows up.
