      Hi there,

      I inserted a text box into home middle one and then home middle 2 went out of sync. I tried rezising the image in 2 but didn’t help. Do you know how I can fix please?

        I would also like to reduce the space between the three boxes and the blue banner… tried fiddling with the padding but noting has worked for me so far…

        thanks,

          It looks like there is an error somewhere in your code that is throwing off the alignment in the home middle 1 & 2. Double check your code (text widgets or any widgets you’ve added custom code). This usually happens when there is a missing div, paragraph, or any other html tags….it could also happen if there are extra tags that aren’t supposed to be there. So check your code and see if anything is missing. You could also check an HTML validator – http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Ftheferriswheel.org%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0 but it would probably be easier to just check your widgets first.

              hi Wes,

              Do mean the problem could be with the code anywhere/somewhere in the website or just with the code in that specific widget? i ran the validator (thanks for the link) but there are many errors and warnings! :/

              do you recommend i go through them one by one? i’m pretty sure lots of them come from the custom css file trials and errors.

              @Troy thanks for the note > You’ve brightned my day 馃檪

                The validator errors can be a little overwhelming and probably too much to deal with right now…..I would just look at your code in your widgets first before going into all of that. You can go through the validator errors when you’re done with the site and you need everything to be perfect. It doesn’t have to be perfect though, as there are many sites (large and small) that show errors, but there not all urgent so don’t worry too much about it.

                If you’re unable to find what’s throwing everything off I can take a quick look to see if I come across anything. I would need a temporary login in order to do so.

                …..and I agree your site does look great 馃檪 Make sure and add it to the showcase whenever you’re done – https://appfinite.com/showcase-your-site

                    As soon as I logged in I immediately saw what it was and got it fixed.

                    You just had an extra </div> at the top of your code in the home-middle-1 section. Here is what it looked like before –

                    </div>
                    <div class="download-box"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">"I did the Neuro Linguistic Programming Practitioner Training Course with Anne Marie Ferris. This included NLP, Time Line Therapy and the Learning for Life漏 Program. As an essential instructor I did the course for two reasons: to enhance myself as an individual and to bring 'something new' to all my students; I accomplished both. The course was precisely what I required after the wear and tear of 29 years of instructing. This project has unquestionably changed my method for instructing to improve things."

                    </div>

                    The extra </div> on the first line wasn’t supposed to be there, so I removed it and it’s working now.
