      Hi Wes

      People love the design but it takes large images and say it takes a toll on loading. I ran a test at http://www.webpagetest.org/ of both your demo site and mine, and it takes 18 seconds for yours (from Spain) and mine loooong 9 seconds to load for first time from Spain. The waterfall says it’s because of homepage images. Is there any way to come around this and fix it, while not affecting images’ quality too much?

        At this point it’s all about your host and your visitors ISP, if their ISP is slow, then it will take a while to load the images just like any other site…..nothing you can do about that (except switch to a faster host of course 馃槈

        I have the demo links on a separate host which is a little bit slower. My main site (Appfinite.com) is on a fast host (Web Synthesis), but the demos have to be on a separate host since they don’t have an option to have a ton of domains.

        Just so you know, your site loads perfect when I visit the link….and it looks VERY good. I can’t wait until you’re finished so I can add this to the Showcase 馃檪

          I have it at wpengine, and I think it’s a pretty good host 馃槈
          In any case, I think there’s nothing we can do, this site requires large images and large images weigh.
          I might try at staging area the plugin Smushit.

          PS: The site is finished 馃檪 Doesn’t it look ‘finished’ to you? 馃榾

            Looks great to me! Your other design looked great, but this looks so much better. The quality pictures are what really make designs like this look good.
