      Hi Wes and Eric

      I’ve updated to Gen 2 and everything’s working OK.

      However I’m a bit worried about updating to the new Legacy as you say a manual update is recommended if CSS changes have been made. I’ve made some changes but can’t remember what they were, so I’m not sure how to go about doing the manual update.

      Can you point a novice in the right direction. Thanks

        You can also do a Google search for even more tutorials and resources on how to do this. I’ve seen a lot of blog posts on how to do this recently, so it should be pretty easy to get it done since so many people have tutorials on it.

          Thanks for that Kronos, unfortunately the Brian Gardner link isn’t working but I’ll try a search for the tutorials you mentioned.

            Hi again

            Still a little confused but can you tell me if I’ve got this right.

            I do a find and replace in my old Legacy css file and replace the XHTML with the new HTML5.

            I then copy this CSS file into the Legacy 1.3 CSS file and then upload 1.3 to WordPress.

            But I’m still not sure what I do about the new hooks. Once I’ve uploaded Legacy 1.3 do I have to go through the functions php file and change the hooks there?

                You can find the Genesis 2.0 changes by Googling them. I came across many myself just now.

                Since Brian’s link isn’t working try this – http://www.carriedils.com/genesis-2-0-hooks/ There are plenty more out there as well.

                Only replace what you see in your functions file….if you haven’t changed anything in your functions file, try swapping it out with the 1.3 version to save a lot of time. Same thing with the portfolio and home.php files. The css file is the only thing you’d need to manually convert if you’ve made changes.
