    hi,
Sorry if I miss something oblivious. I installed:
    1) WordPress (on Mac and Win, on Win just to check that everything was correct on Mc)
    2) downloaded Genesis theme and installed to WP
    3) downloaded Epic theme and installed to WP, acticated it
    4) checked that Settings-Reading->Your latest posts is selected

When I navigate to the WP – I see standard one post – not a perfect Epic thema with slider, nice pics and so on.

    Please help.

    Thank you!

You have to add content inside of the widgets in order for them to show up on the homepage. If you don’t then it will show your blog posts by default.

Make sure and check out the Yellow Highlighted sticky posts at the top of the Epik forum for tutorials/code snippets – http://appfinite.com/forum/epik-theme-support/

Wes, thank you for the answer. Unfortunately I still miss something – i imported sample content from epic.zip, so I assume I should see something. But I still see just number of posts. I’ve looked into yellow posts. But could you please point the any sort of documentation to map widgets to code – what to change to get something. Any “start from here” would be welcome.

    Thank you!

@hyrax Just in case your homepage is linked to the wrong thing in your Settings > Reading page you may want to take a look here – http://appfinite.com/tutorials/how-to-setup-the-home-and-blog-page/ ….once you have that setup properly, then you can simply add a widget to any of the home widgets and the home.php file will automatically activate and show the homepage.

The link that @Wes posted to shows an exact list of how to create the demo homepage. For example, here is the Homepage widget location/guide – http://appfinite.com/topic/epik-widgets-guide/ for more tutorials/code snippets to recreate the demo please review the links mentioned above.
