IE white space below nav

I have IE 9 and Chrome Version 24.0.1312.57 m and there is a white space below the nav and above the start of the slide section: I do not have secondary menu activated. How do I get rid of the white space? Thanks.

You have too many links in your navigation. You’ll need to delete one of the links since the width of the nav is only 960px
