I’m using Genesis responsive slider. Set my image to 1140 and set it for that in settings. It is off center and getting cut off. Help please.
I actually wanted a full width image like I’ve seen on other examples with this theme. How do I get that effect?

You just need to add your slider to the slider widget area titled “Slider Wide“. “Slider Wide” is a full width widget area with no width limitations.
The regular “Slider” widget area is 1140px, which is designed for those that want a slider to fit in line with the theme content width.

Well neither option works, both crop my image. I made these 4 images 1140 x 350. In slider wide they go across the screen alright but get cropped, in other words they are enlarged too much.
In the reg. slider the image falls short of the right left arrows and doesn’t show me the entire image.April 9, 2015 at 11:41 am #15620
I want to hear from Wes. Come on man! this should work. I made 4 images, 1140 x 350 and set slider to that size. Why is it cropping my images?
please respond.April 10, 2015 at 10:25 pm #15623kronosCustomer

Is Eric or anyone else on this forum not good enough? IMO it doesn’t matter who answers your question, as long as they offer the correct solution. There are a lot of people here that can, and are willing to help.
Just so you know, you’re asking a question about a plugin that wasn’t created by Wes, Appfinite, or anyone here. It’s always recommended to contact the original Plugin Developer if you need support for a 3rd Party plugin – http://appfinite.com/topic/forum-rules/ This theme doesn’t affect the functionality of how the plugin works.
To fix your issue, I’d recommend using the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin to have your images adjust to the size you have set in your settings on the Slider Settings page. Give that a try and see if it works. I’ve personally never had an issue with this plugin and this theme together, so it should work unless you have something else interfering with the functionality.
I’m interested in the result, so let me know once you try that solution.
