Last month someone asked about the menu for http://wp.dm2.com/contact-us-2. The comments there are closed, so I thought I’d let you know here what I did, if that’s okay. If it’s not okay, please feel free to delete. For the primary navigation I used a plugin called UberMenu. It’s unbelievably well-documented and supported, and the developers there stay on top of WordPress and framework updates like you can’t even believe. It even includes a full support manual, a css guide, everything but the kitchen sink. I do am not an affiliate nor do I have a developer license. The plugin costs $16 and I’d gladly pay that again if I had a need for it. Worked right out of the box when I installed it on Wes’s theme.

The menu in the upper right corner is also a plugin called Advanced Menu Widget. I liked it because within the widget you can tell it what to say before and after the link – something the client will be able to change easily – and which is why it says “I would like to” before each menu option. It says “How may we help you” because I cheated and changed it in the php file, which means each time it updates I will have to manually check to make sure it still says that. It is free through the WP repository. All I did was put it in the header widget area.

    Hope this is helpful.

Thanks @BossLady for letting us know! The Ubermenu is definitely a good plugin, I use it myself and we usually recommend it to others who need more menu options. I haven’t seen that other plugin though, so I’ll check that out if I ever need it for a project.

    Thanks again!

No problem – Genesis and Appfinite have made me look really, really good. I’m only too happy to do what I can to give back.
