Could you please update the instruction for setting up the responsive slider?
I understand slider size has changed for version 1.3.
I have wasted a lot of time because of the wrong instructions. Hopefully others won’t

If you’re referring to the Genesis Responsive Slider, that plugin wasn’t created by us, it was developed by StudioPress. From what I can see it hasn’t changed any, it still works the same way it did before any updates we made to the themes….and the themes shouldn’t have anything to do with it’s functionality since they are both separate.

StudioPress should have their own documentation for how to set it up if you’re interested.

What issues were you having exactly?….because I haven’t seen anything changed or added to it.

Assuming you’re referring to this right? – https://appfinite.com/tutorials/how-to-add-the-genesis-responsive-slider/

Those settings are just examples. They were never really intended to be an exact guide for all themes. Since there are multiple themes with different sizes/widths you would need to add the width in your settings according to the size of the theme you are using.

If you haven’t seen it by now, and for anyone else wondering, the main content for Legacy is 1140px wide. The old version was 960px wide in the past.

If you have any other questions, just let me know.

I do not want to attach posts or pages, is there another slider that works well with your theme ?
I tried both http://soliloquywp.com/ and meteor slides, however they both are not centered and I don’t need the area to be 350px – 400px high ?
Only need a space of 250, images being 1000 x 200 px, any suggestions ?
            Regards
            Dave

Most basic sliders don’t center images, but you can upload an image that is either wide enough to fill up the entire space, or you could create a transparent image that shows up in the middle with empty space on the side. The only other plugin I’ve really used is the Layer Slider – http://demo.appfinite.net/ally/
