Tagged: Ambition, custom editing
Hi, I just hired a programmer to make custom changes to Ambition. Wanted the blog to be more like medium.com.
He said that he was not allowed to edit files and that it was not recommended by appfinite.
The child themes are highly customisable, aren’t they?
Yes you can definitely edit the Child Theme files as much as you want. Where did your programmer read that they couldn’t edit Child themes? I just want to make sure there’s no confusion.
Did he possibly get the Genesis Framework mixed up with Genesis Child themes? It’s recommended to edit the Child themes however you want, but the Genesis Framework files should be left alone since the Framework gets updated and handles the backend functionality.
