Numbered Pagination of Comments

I was hoping to install Aspire Pro on a site that has nearly 40-50 posts – each one of which have nearly 500+ comments (and in some posts, it’s even 1000+ comments). This impacts the load time as well as the experience on mobile.

I do not want to take the route of migrating to Disqus, FB comments, etc. And looking at enabling paginated comments (via WP’s settings – Appearance > Discussion).

But the problem is the comments appear as “Newer Comments”, “Older Comments” rather than the paginated ones as it appears on Aspire / Genesis homepage / category / archives pagination.

So, how do I enabled paginated comments.. I found this too:
