Portfolio Order

I’ve tried three separate plugins to sort the order of posts in a portfolio and none of them are working.

I’ve also tried to go in and manually change the dates on posts in this particular portfolio and I’m unable to change the sort order. Any ideas?

The Post Types Order plugin isn’t working? That’s the only one I ever knew of that seem to work back in the day. I haven’t checked it recently though.

Other than that plugin I don’t know of any other way to do it. It’s actually something I’ve been wondering myself.

Yes, I noticed posts dating back to April where you mentioned that you weren’t sure how to change the order.

Ok, I just did a quick test with the Post Types Order and it’s still working for me. Can you give that plugin another try?

They also have a premium version – http://www.nsp-code.com/premium-plugins/wordpress-plugins/advanced-post-types-order/ and a few other plugins like – http://wordpress.org/plugins/taxonomy-terms-order/ if you’re interested.

If you try it again and it’s still not working can you let me know what’s going on?

I just Googled and came across this – http://wordpress.org/support/topic/changing-the-post-order and one person wrote this –

“you could manually change the publish date to reflect the desired order:
(admin – posts – quickedit – date)

or use custom fields and sort the output using query_posts():
http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags/query_posts#Custom_Field_Parameters”

I wish there was a simple way to add the order in a custom field in the same way we can add multiple categories in a portfolio like here – https://appfinite.com/tutorials/how-to-create-multiple-portfolios/ ….Hopefully I can find an easy way to do it.

Yea, I tried to manually change the dates – mentioned that in my original post. I ended up purchasing the premium version of the plugin you mentioned just before you replied and for $25, I’m happy to pay someone to give me something that works. For now, it’s corrected with the premium plugin.
