Can you suggest what I might check to see why I have two content excerpts appearing with each image on the portfolio page? I do have excerpts set up for some of the portfolio posts, and plan to use them for all so I can have shorter, more targeted text. But I am getting double the content regardless of whether there’s an excerpt or not.

I’m developing on my local machine so I don’t have an URL to share; hopefully the code below will provide some clue.

    <div class="post-1343 post type-post status-publish format-standard hentry category-feature category-work entry portfolio gallery clearfix"><a class="gallery-thumb" href="http://localhost/work/yes-for-douglas-county/" title="YES for Douglas County"><img width="264" height="200" src="http://localhost/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/2012-11-08-09.20.53-pm-264x200.png" class="alignnone post-image" alt="2012-11-08 09.20.53 pm"></a><div class="entry-content"><h2 class="entry-title"><a href="http://localhost/work/yes-for-douglas-county/" title="YES for Douglas County" rel="bookmark">YES for Douglas County</a></h2>
<p>"YES for Douglas County" was a successful grassroots ballot question campaign aimed at putting Douglas County, Georgia on a level playing field with surrounding communities with respect to Sunday alcohol sales.

Unfortunately we would need an actual URL to see what the issue is. We have to “see it in action” in order to figure out what it could be….and in some cases the url wouldn’t be enough if you have customized any part of your code, or if you’ve adjusted any of your settings.

This may or may not have anything to do with it, but have you adjusted any part of your page_portfolio.php file? Some users want to add the prettyPhoto plugin effects that are included, and the way to do it is to uncomment the code…..if you forget to comment out the other code (right above it) then it will show two images……but that may or may not be your issue. If you haven’t customized your portfolio file, then disregard.
