Home › Community Forums › Ambition › Possible code conflict with YouTube on home page
Hello,
URL: http://ronliebman.com/
I have embedded a YouTube video in the front-page-3 widget of the home page. The video disappears when played in full screen on some browsers. The sound is there, but not the video. Works fine in Firefox, but not Chrome or Safari.
However, the exact same video/embed code works fine in full screen when embedded on an interior page: http://ronliebman.com/dlm-web-test/
Is there perhaps a script used in the front-page.php that might be causing a conflict? Have you seen these issue before?
I’ve tried deactivating several plugins to check them, but that didn’t solve the issue.
I’d be grateful for any ideas. Thanks,
Danna
I’m not sure what that could be, but I’ll look into it. It doesn’t seem to happen on another theme I just tested it on, so hopefully it’s something small that I can spot on this one.
Hi Wes,
If it’s helpful…
I installed the Ambition Theme on my staging site, and deactivated all plugins.

The result is the same… the YouTube video will not play full screen in any of the home page widgets of Ambition, when using the Chrome browser.
But it will play full screen when embedded on an interior page –

Thanks for looking into it,
