CustomerA client of mine bought Adapt a while back, and I did some customizations for them. Just recently they upgraded to WordPress 3.5, and one of the dropdown menus, a custom taxonomy created using the Types plugin, stopped working on iOS devices.
I do not have an iOS device of my own to see what’s happening, but I’ve read where some other themes are having issues with dropdown menu functionality since upgrading to WP 3.5, but turning off the fancy dropdowns option didn’t resolve the issue.
Would you be able to take a look and see what’s going on, possibly point me in the right direction?

ModeratorI haven’t seen any issues with the Dropdown functionality in any of my themes, or any other Genesis themes. I took a quick look at your site (iPhone) and didn’t see anything wrong on my end. It seems to be working fine.

CustomerThere’s one menu item, “Products”, that’s supposed to display a dropdown of several different product classes (a-Class, h-Class, i-Class, al-Class). It works on desktop browsers, but I’m told it doesn’t work on iPhone or iPad.
Is it working on your iPhone?

ModeratorThe Products drop down isn’t working, but the other dropdowns are working. Do you remember what css changes you’ve made? I can see that you have the menus changed to float: right instead of left. I’m not sure if that’s what the issue is or not, but have you tried changing some of the css back to the default to see if it works?

CustomerThing is, that dropdown did work perfectly before the client updated to WordPress 3.5 a couple weeks ago. Something in the upgrade caused it to stop working, and I haven’t a clue what that might be. I thought at first it was because they hadn’t updated Genesis to 1.9 after the WP upgrade, but when I did that update it didn’t solve the issue.
Products is a custom taxonomy created with the Types plugin, and some other people reported problems with dropdowns, but none of their solutions worked for my case.
I’m also posting questions to the Studio Press forums, but right now I’m grasping for straws.

ModeratorIf you’re using a plugin then you would definitely need to contact the plugin author/developer rather than StudioPress. If its a third party plugin they are going to recommend that you contact the creator of the plugin.
The issue isn’t with the theme or WP, but the plugin itself. Maybe the plugin has bugs and needs to be updated for 3.5
